Hello! I’m Iris, a pastry artist, sugar flower artist, and instructor with a passion for creating realistic sugar flowers and elegant sugar shoes.

Originally from Honduras and now proudly call  Tucson, Arizona my home , my love for art began as a child, creating crafts with my grandmother, Mercedes, who inspired my creative journey.

I studied pastry arts at Star Career Academy Culinary School in New York and have since competed in numerous cake decorating competitions, served as a judge at cake shows, and had my work featured in several cake magazines. I was also honored to be a finalist in the Martha Stewart American Made Awards. And my dvd Beautiful Sugar shoes was released 2013.

Today, my greatest joy is sharing my knowledge through teaching and inspiring others to discover the beauty and artistry of sugar flowers and sugar shoes.
